Three or four years ago, my step-brother and I took a five day excursion into Yosemite National Park.  We shot about four rolls of film so that our folks could see second hand everything we saw.  When Mac Os 8 came out I thought that some of the photos would make good desktops.  So here they are.
  13. If you like and use these desktops, please send me a postcard from wherever you are to my address below, I╒d like to see how far these things reach.  If you want to redistribute them, please keep them in their original stuffed form or binhex equivalent.
  14. There are nine desktops here which I tried to name as accurately as possible.  It has been a few years since we took the trip, so I don╒t know the perfect names for these.  If anyone knows more appropriate names for them, please email me with the right name for it.  Most of the names are self explanatory.

  16. Current Names
  17. Yosemite Valley
  18. This was one of the last pictures we took.  After about two days of leisurely going up the steepest way up to Indian Rock, we traveled to a point where we could see the valley.  That╒s when we shot this picture.

  20. Indian Rock
  21. This was our first major destination...  we couldn╒t get a trail pass to Half Dome, but I think we got better pictures (and had a better time) on the trail we took.

  23. Cloud Mountain
  24. I think that this is the right name for this shot.  If I╒m not mistaken, the elevation of the mountain is around 11,000 feet.  We thought about going there later, but were too tired and ran out of time.

  26. River in Yosemite Valley
  27. I have no idea what river this is or where the picture was from.  But I really like the picture.

  29. Half Dome Through the Trees
  30. This picture was taken while we were still pretty low in the valley.  We got better pictures up higher as some of the later pictures shows.

  32. Waterfall
  33. I have no idea what waterfall this is.  And I╒m not sure where I took this picture from.

  35. Half Dome from down low
  36. We started the arduous trip up to Indian Rock the hard way.  But we got some great shots of Half Dome.  Here╒s the first one.

  39. We were probably most of our way up to the top of our ascent.

  41. Half Dome from really high
  42. This shot was taken from the top of our ascent, but I have no idea exactly from where.

  44. I hope these desktops draw some ╥oooohs╙ and ╥aaaahhs╙ from your friends and family.  Have fun and please remember to send me a postcard.
